Wishram, WA., March 12, 2015 — Jacob Williams Winery is hosting a grand opening party to inaugurate their new tasting room, held on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12 from 10-6 p.m. With beautiful attractions both indoors and out, visitors will enjoy sipping wine while taking in the breathtaking views of Mt. Hood, afforded by Jacob Williams’ new wraparound patio that includes comfortable outdoor seating.
Live music and food will be served from 12-4 p.m. both days, featuring Hayden Woodard playing acoustic cover songs. “It’s guaranteed to be a good time,” said Crystal Borup, Tasting Room and Event Manager for Jacob Williams Winery. “We have so much to celebrate: Our new tasting room, the introduction of the wine club membership that includes a members-only lounge, our new Sauvignon Blanc, as well as offering our classic award-winning wines that go perfectly with the fabulous views and sunny weather we enjoy here at Jacob Williams Winery.”
It all began 11 years ago when Brad Gearhart, owner of Jacob Williams Winery, partnered with his college friend to start Dry Hollow Winery. Then, in 2007 Brad started Jacob Williams Winery. During those early days they built a small, temporary tasting room in Lyle, Washington. As they grew into an award-winning winery Jacob Williams began building their current barrel room, which is now the Wine Club Member’s Lounge.
Phase two of the Jacob Williams expansion project resulted in a brand new tasting room that sits above the beautiful Columbia River, boasting panoramic windows that offer amazing views of Mt Hood. Inside, there resides a large U-shaped bar and cozy seating where visitors can pair wines with delectable cheeses, local breads, and even custom chocolate.
