Warm Blanket & Clothing Drive for the Homeless

December 1, 2018 - January 31, 2019

Warm Blanket & Clothing Drive for the Homeless

Tis the season for giving. This year we are hosting a warm blanket and clothing drive. By donating items like blankets, hats, scarves, and jackets, you can help local people in need this Holiday season! There will be a donation box in the tasting room the entire month of December and January.

Items to donate:
Blankets – new or slightly used, must be in good condition.
Warm jackets – new or slightly used, must be in good condition.
Hats, gloves, and socks – must be new.

About the donation sites:
The Portland Transitional Project focuses on helping the homeless people of Portland find housing and get back on their feet. Portland currently has a homeless population of over 4,000 people, but this organization is working to change that.

The Hood River Warming Shelter was established in 2009 after a homeless individual passed away due to cold winter conditions of the Gorge. The shelter has been working to prevent such events from occurring ever since. Every winter they provide shelter for the Gorge residents in need during the coldest months of the year.
