Memorial Day Weekend – LIVE MUSIC
May 28, 2016 @ 10:00 am - May 30, 2016 @ 6:00 pm
Join us Memorial Day Weekend for Live Music.
Saturday May 28th Featuring P.T. Barton
P.T. Barton, A multi-talented musician and songwriter who has called the Columbia Gorge his home for over 20 years. His music draws influences from traditional folk, bluegrass and country, partnered with the energy and rhythms of alt-folk acts such as The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Shakey Graves and The Avett Brothers. It’s not unusual to find Barton playing multiple instruments simultaneously and his live shows bring an energetic and spontaneous performance to the stage. “For me, music is a way of being exactly in that moment. When I’m completely immersed in a song or melody, that’s when it feels true.” Weaving a variety of music and genres into his shows, this one-man act is always unique. Be sure to catch his live performances, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the experience.
“A powerhouse vocalist and talented songwriter, Tracy Klas has earned her devoted following with music ranging from haunting ballads to “torch rock.” Her original music has appeared in New Line Cinema films and other indie productions, and she has won numerous songwriting and performance awards. Come see why Lonnie Turner, bassist for the Steve Miller Band, says, “She could sing the names out of the phone book and hold an audience!”
Monday May 30th Featuring Mark Daly & Polly Norris
Mark Daly started playing guitar when he was a teenager, yet singing in choirs as a young child certainly gave roots to a huge passion. His songwriting has continued to explore new paths, and the genre is clearly unique. With a lyrically impressionistic approach, his songs offer imagery that is unique for each interpretation. “Just not a story telling kind of lyricist… each song is a path that hopefully provides ways to find your own missing piece of the puzzle.” Polly Norris sings and writes soulful ballads from a variety of genres: Country, Blues, Swing and more. Her guitar & banjo create rhythm and harmony complimenting her heart-felt vocals. It’s a special treat to have them performing together. You won’t want to miss them this Memorial Day.
